In dit thematische recital onderzoeken sopraan Anna Prohaska en pianist Eric Schneider de impact van oorlogsgeweld door de stemmen van slachtoffers, soldaten en achterblijvers te vertolken. Het gevarieerde liederprogramma brengt intiem werk van Schubert en Wolf samen met modernistische composities van Eisler en Ives in vijf talen, inhoudelijk aansluitend bij Alban Bergs opera Wozzeck.
