Tech House-Events in Rotterdam

Tech house emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a sophisticated bridge between the soulful, grooving elements of Chicago house and the cold, synthetic precision of Detroit techno. Typical instrumentation centers on Roland-style drum machines, syncopated basslines, and minimalist synthesizer stabs, frequently eschewing the heavy melodicism or vocal prominence of other house sub-genres. The rhythm is defined by a steady four-on-the-floor kick drum, usually maintained between 120 and 128 BPM, focusing on subtle, evolving percussion loops. This genre projects a sleek, hypnotic, and understated mood, acting as a functional club-oriented hybrid that maintains consistent physical energy without reaching the aggressive peaks of techno or the euphoric highs of disco.
