Blues Rock-Events dieses Wochenende in San Francisco

Blues rock emerged in the mid-1960s as a powerful fusion of traditional electric blues with the amplified aggression of rock and roll. This genre is defined by a central focus on virtuosic electric guitar improvisation, often employing heavy distortion and sustain alongside a driving rhythm section of bass, drums, and Hammond organ. Musically, it maintains the structural foundations of twelve-bar blues while incorporating faster tempos, louder dynamics, and a grit-heavy production style. Serving as a crucial bridge between the Chicago blues scene and the evolution of hard rock, the genre creates a raw, soulful atmosphere that emphasizes emotional intensity and instrumental prowess.
