Zehn Jahre später bietet Im-Ho-Tep, der sich nun Ardeth Bey nennt, einer britischen Expedition seine Hilfe an. Dabei lernt er die junge Helen Grosvenor kennen, die er für eine Inkarnation seiner früheren Liebe Anck-es-en-Amon hält.

“Do you have to open graves to find girls to fall in love with?”
More or less the same plot as 1931’s Dracula, The Mummy suffers from many of the same early talkie “flaws” as it predecessor - slow pacing, not much dialogue, etc. BUT what it does have is Boris Karloff and some great atmosphere which will always hold a special place in my heart. In fact, as the years have passed I’ve begun to like this more and more with each viewing and I don’t even know why.
