More or less the same plot as 1931’s Dracula, The Mummy suffers from many of the same early talkie “flaws” as it predecessor - slow pacing, not much dialogue, etc. BUT what it does have is Boris Karloff and some great atmosphere which will always hold a special place in my heart. In fact, as the years have passed I’ve begun to like this more and more with each viewing and I don’t even know why.
