Underground καλλιτέχνης choro
Matheus Donato is passionate about popular culture —of which he is a direct heir—and the new instrumental sound that echoes through the imaginary corners of Brazil’s capital, where he was born. All of this shapes his six-string cavaquinho, a unique adaptation of this Luso-Brazilian instrument, which quickly became a piece of his heart beating outside his chest since the age of 12. He soon developed a distinctive style, skillfully blending his country’s musical heritage, contemporary sounds, and the delicate signature that marks each of his notes. From 2015 to 2020, he performed on various stages, festivals, and recordings, enriching his musical palette through encounters with diverse artists and projects. These experiences fueled his curiosity, creativity, and shaped his vision of what music should be: Without borders!
