Tender Youth

The Copenhagen-based quartet, Tender Youth, was formed in 2018 and released their debut album 'In the Hands of Broken Bonds' in the spring of 2023. An album that garnered great reviews in several Danish media outlets like Gaffa, Soundvenue, and Undertoner for Tender Youth's newfound rock sound. Tender Youth blends genres like avant-garde rock and post-punk into a noisy, experimental, and expansive sonic landscape, where classical instruments are distorted into the band's energetic punk universe. Through this, the young band creates a unique reinterpretation of these noble genres, while an anxious lyrical universe puts words to the perfectionistic and achievement-focused culture that permeates their generation. Tender Youth's desire to break society's invisible chains results in a chaotic whirlwind of energy, culminating in their melodic, raw, and thunderous sound - a whirlwind that has been experienced at the band's high-intensity and critically acclaimed live shows, seen at festivals like Roskilde Festival and Spot Festival. As both Undertoner and danish national radio P6 BEAT have unanimously declared, Tender Youth is one of the newest and most interesting offsprings from the Copenhagen underground scene, and a band in constant evolution.
