Belgian multi-instrumentalist Abel Ghekiere performs a blend of minimalist jazz, folk, and ambient textures live at Cinetol. Tickets on Mood.
Abel Ghekiere is a Belgian multi-instrumentalist whose sound is inspired by minimalist jazz, traditional folk, and field recordings. Following his debut album 'Voor het verdwijnt, en daarna', which explored themes of grief and loss, his newer music in 'In de verte, dit uitzicht' embraces openness, softness, and euphoria. Having performed at major festivals like Gent Jazz and Motel Mozaïque and supported acts like Alabaster dePlume and Black Country, New Road, his live performances feature guitar, clarinet, and banjo.
