Drawing on rarely heard works from German court libraries of Kassel and Schwerin, the ensemble brings to light a repertoire that blends elegance, dance, and expressive depth. Performed ‘in the round’ on period instruments, this programme reveals a sound world shaped by the German courts’ fascination with the splendour of Versailles, where French grace meets German imagination.
