An evening of experimental music from sound artist and composer Abigail Toll, and a viola trio comprised of Seán Being, Oliver Turvey, and Hilary Woods. Abigail Toll creates deep-listening environments through research into psychoacoustics and resonance, utilizing electroacoustic composition and chamber ensembles. Her acclaimed works include Matrices of Vision and Idol. Oliver Turvey is a sound and performance artist whose practice involves site-specific improvisation using electronics, violin, viola, and DIY instruments. Seán Being is an Irish musician exploring spatial and social bases of performance through various modes including feedback and plainchant. Hilary Woods is a songwriter and artist known for her analogue film work and critically acclaimed LPs such as Night CRIÚ.
