Cuarteto Casals has built a major reputation over 25 years with refined, expressive interpretations of the classical repertoire. In this performance, they present Franz Schubert's famous Fourteenth String Quartet, 'Death and the Maiden'. The program also features a new work by Barcelona-based composer Raquel García-Tomás, whose contemporary style is interwoven with classical-romantic traditions, alongside a string quartet by Joseph Haydn, the founder of the genre. The ensemble is celebrated for its sound beauty, perfect balance, and direct musicality.
