Los Kjarkas are a symbol of Bolivian music and culture and one of the most influential folk music groups in Latin America. For over fifty years, Los Kjarkas have revolutionized Andean music, drawing on the richness of traditional rhythms and instruments to create a unique sound that has resonated with generations of Andean people. Their song “Llorando Se Fue” was used by Kaoma to create the global phenomenon “Lambada,” which was subsequently covered by numerous international artists in many hit songs.
