Los Kjarkas are a symbol of Bolivian music and culture and one of the most influential folk music groups in Latin America. For over fifty years, Los Kjarkas have revolutionized Andean music, drawing on the richness of traditional rhythms and instruments to create a unique sound that has resonated with generations of Andean people. Their captivating melodies, sublime vocal harmonies, and expressive lyrics have won the hearts of audiences in Latin America and beyond. Their song “Llorando Se Fue” was used by Kaoma to create the global phenomenon “Lambada,” which was subsequently covered by numerous international artists in many hit songs. Other songs have become anthems for many people in Bolivia and around the world. For over half a century, Los Kjarkas have toured the world, performing more than 6,000 concerts in Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia, introducing their distinctive sound to audiences worldwide.
