BBC Symphony Orchestra season finale led by Sakari Oramo, featuring the premiere of Charlotte Bray's Violin Concerto and Liszt's A Faust Symphony. Lineup on Mood.
BBC Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo leads a performance exploring both contemporary and 19th-century works. The program opens with the world premiere of a Violin Concerto by British composer Charlotte Bray, featuring violinist Leila Josefowicz. The second half features Franz Liszt’s monumental 'A Faust Symphony', a dramatic landmark of orchestral music that follows the journey of the soul through temptation and redemption. This rare performance serves as the finale to the ensemble's concert season.
