The performance features Timothy Ridout as the soloist in Benjamin Britten’s arrangement of Lachrymae for strings. The second half of the concert is dedicated to John Adams' Shaker Loops, a landmark work of American minimalism performed by the Britten Sinfonia under Larcher’s direction.
