Νοσταλγική, underground βραδιά chamber music
Center, Leof. Andrea Siggrou 364, Kallithea 176 74, Greece
Christophe Coin, one of the leading cellists and gambists of our time, collaborates with violist Miguel da Silva and Greek cellist Dimos Goudaroulis. Together, they perform a rare and sophisticated chamber music repertoire featuring works for baryton, viola, and cello. The performance includes trios by Joseph Haydn, composed for Prince Nikolaus Esterházy, alongside pieces by Antonín Kraft, Jean-Louis Duport, and Bernhard Romberg. This concert is part of the 'Early Music Days' festival at the GNO Alternative Stage. The festival explores historical repertoires through two thematic cycles: 'The Age of Revolutions', curated by Dimos Goudaroulis and focused on Beethoven and his contemporaries, and 'Active Pasts', curated by Markellos Chryssicos, which reinterprets early music through contemporary lenses including new commissions and jazz interpretations.
