Yeh Freedom Life

queer love hits different when it’s spoken in your mother tongue, made me cry a little
i cannot explain to you how seen i feel. seeing old brown working class queers with tattoos of past lovers etch in their skin, trans men asking their lovers if they’ll still love them on hormones, rented apartments to get away from their second life. i feel so seen i cried in the theatre. the juxtaposition of the control men want over women and their bodies to the selfless, overwhelming love between the queers. this film is just so powerful in the little things they show. i cannot tell you how important this film is to me as a young, brown, trans man.
