A shared love for Acid House, Deep House, Minimal, Dub, Slow Grooves and Reggae results in a mudfat groovy and eclectic sound. Mudfat has made a name for themselves by shaking up the after party’s at Mysteryland, doing crazy all nighters at Skatecafe & Wibar Leiden and playing long chillout sets at Thuishaven. Mudfat is a literal translation of the Dutch word moddervet. mud-fat or mud-thick in English, it’s used as slang to describe something that is super cool, awesome, or incredibly good. It conveys a sense of heaviness or richness in a positive way, much like the word phat in English slang when describing music, style, or something impressive.
