Le Festival d'Été
The mythic Festival d’Été at Cabaret Sauvage returns under Paris's most iconic big top. On Thursday, July 16, West African music takes center stage with two exceptional performers. Rokia Traoré, a leading figure in contemporary Malian music, presents her new show "Fifty-Fifty." Her work blends traditional Bélédougou roots with blues, jazz, and rock, carrying a message of freedom and resistance. Opening the evening is Ousmane Kouyaté, known as the "Prince of the Kora." Coming from a distinguished family of griots, he performs an afro-jazz fusion that mixes Mandinka traditions with pop, funk, soul, and bossa nova, singing in multiple languages including Malinké and Wolof.
