Baglama player combines eastern sounds and traditional Anatolian folk songs with electronic music. With “Ethnic Signals,” award-winning instrumentalist Coşkun Karademir brings Anatolian music to a wide audience. In this innovative project, he combines mystical Eastern sounds, traditional Anatolian folk songs and self-composed instrumental melodies with electronic music, a first in this genre. A passionate player of the baglama, Karademir has built an impressive career composing for TV series, films and documentaries. His work with The Secret Ensemble and albums such as “The Call of the Birds,” “Endless Path” and “Oz” garnered international recognition, as did his album “Interlude,” which was awarded the Best World Beat EP award and a Silver Medal from the Global Music Awards.
