À l’approche du bicentenaire de la mort de Beethoven, le célèbre pianiste Evgeny Kissin propose un récital entièrement consacré au compositeur. Habitué de ses concertos, Kissin dédie son année 2027 aux trios et aux œuvres pour piano solo. Ce programme présente l'impétueuse première sonate, la Treizième sonate op. 27 n° 1, et culmine avec le monument pianistique que sont les Variations Diabelli. Beethoven considérait ces 33 pièces comme de véritables « transformations » structurelles et harmoniques d'un thème simple, couronnant ainsi son immense corpus pour piano.
