Conan, one of the heaviest bands in the British doom/sludge scene, returns to Greece for two concerts that are expected to be deafening. With guitars that sound like mountain ranges collapsing and rhythms that have the heavy tread of an ancient siege engine, the trio from Liverpool continues to create sound so heavy and primitive that it borders on the mythical. From Horseback Battle Hammer (2010) to Evidence of Immortality (2022), Conan have developed a completely unique style and personality, which you will often hear referred to as caveman battle doom. With a mixture of huge guitar riffs, monolithic rhythms and raw energy that leaves no room for doubt, Conan don't just convince; they impose! Guitarist/singer Jon Davis remains the undisputed core of the band. His voice echoes like a cry from a volcanic abyss, and his guitar takes on the role of an ancient weapon that rips through the air. Together with Chris Fielding on bass and Johnny King on drums, Conan continue to function as a whole that is not interested in the digestible, but only in the true and the original. The 2025 tour finds the band in top form. With a setlist that includes moments from their entire discography, Conan offer a concert experience that you feel more than you hear.
