Jahnavi Harrison was raised in a family of bhakti yoga practitioners at Bhaktivedanta Manor in Hertfordshire, England. She is a writer, musician and artist who aims to channel her creative expression as a path to self-realisation and service. Her work is influenced by both Western and Carnatic (South Indian) classical traditions, as well as linguistic and creative writing studies. She has toured internationally with the sacred music band Gaura Vani and As Kindred Spirits and was a member of the Sita and the Hanumen collective. Having collaborated with notable kirtan artists like Krishna Das and Jai Uttal, she released her debut album 'Like a River to the Sea' in 2015. She currently helps run Kirtan London, a project dedicated to making sacred mantra music accessible to diverse audiences.
