One Of These Days
A PINK FLOYD TRIBUTE All good things must come to an end, and so does One Of These Days. On January 17th, the Pink Floyd tribute band will bid farewell at P60 in Amstelveen. One Of These Days was founded in 2016 by guitarist and passionate lifelong Pink Floyd fan Hans Giling. Hans had previously played in a Pink Floyd tribute band with Glenn van der Vleuten (vocals) and Remco Kuijpers (guitar and vocals). Their musical connection laid the foundation for what would become One Of These Days. They were later joined by Stefan van Rijswijk (bass and vocals), Maikel Croes (drums), and Gert Jan Essenstam (keyboards), all of whom shared the same love for Pink Floyd and enthusiastically joined the project. Over the years, the band's lineup changed several times. Allow Frings replaced Gert Jan on keyboards, and Sander van Gaans took over from Remco on guitar. Frans van der Hoeven (saxophone) and Maaike Rijk (backing vocals) were also regular contributors during live performances. In recent years, One Of These Days brought Pink Floyd’s timeless classics to stages across the country. With original artwork and visuals, their shows consistently received enthusiastic responses and glowing reviews. However, the effects of the COVID-19 crisis, personal and professional developments within the band, and an increase in Pink Floyd tribute bands have led to the decision to call it quits. For one last time, One Of These Days will perform with passion and dedication, giving fans and music lovers the chance to enjoy the timeless repertoire of one of music history’s most iconic bands.
