Each edition, we welcome fabulous jazz musicians. Whether it’s the renowned Amsterdam Jazz Trio (Jochem Braat on piano, Tijn Jans on drums, and Adrie Braat on double bass), intimate duos, or special guests ranging from saxophonists to jazz singers and vibraphonists – expect an evening filled with top-tier jazz. This Thursday, Jazz Thursdays presents a special trio featuring Vita Pagie (vocals), Caroline Kamp (double bass), and Jochem Braat (piano) for an evening of jazz and Brazilian rhythms. Vita Pagie is a vocalist and composer with a passion for jazz and Brazilian music. Known for her versatility, she has explored folk influences with Greener Grass, performed free improvisation in dance productions with Chronos Collective, and is currently working on compositions inspired by Walt Whitman’s poetry, blending jazz, soul, and pop. Together with pianist Jochem Braat and double bassist Caroline Kamp, she will bring a mix of well-loved and hidden jazz gems, infused with the warmth of Brazilian melodies.
