Be Your Own Pet returns with their first new album in over a decade, Mommy. Born from the group's early garage punk ferocity, the new material showcases matured songwriting and a determination to define their own future. After a white-hot run in the mid-2000s as teenagers that led to two acclaimed albums and worldwide tours, the Nashville quartet called it quits in 2008. Reunited in 2021, the band—comprised of Jemina Pearl, Jonas Stein, Nathan Vasquez, and John Eatherly—found their chemistry remains as potent as ever. Their new sound bolsters their patented swagger with evolved musicianship, tackling themes of personal reclamation and the complexities of adulthood while maintaining their razor-edged garage rock spirit.
