The Mavericks
The Mavericks are a country and western band that formed in 1989 in Miami, Florida, with a handful of charting albums and singles under their belt. Originally starting as a punk and alternative rock band, they were signed by MCA Nashville in 1991 and released their debut studio album From Hell to Paradise in 1992. Their follow-up album What a Crying Shame achieved significant success, reaching No. 6 on the US Billboard Top Country Albums chart. They reached international acclaim with their 1998 album Trampoline, featuring the hit single Dance the Night Away. After a ten-year hiatus ending in 2013, the band returned with the critically acclaimed album In Time.
