Nicky Jam

Nicky Jam, born Nick Caminero, is a singer and songwriter from Boston with Puerto Rican and Dominican roots. One of the most respected figures in reggaeton, his career began in poverty in Puerto Rico, where he supported his family by working in a grocery store. After being discovered while busking at the age of eleven, he signed a record deal and released his debut album at fourteen. He gained international fame through collaborations with Daddy Yankee and his 2001 breakthrough album Haciendo Escante. Known for his unique fusion of reggae and Latin influences, Jam is celebrated for his energetic live performances and his ability to remain a prominent force in the genre for decades.
