Born and raised in Queens, Action Bronson (real name Arian Asllani) was influenced by hip hop from a young age, particularly Wu-Tang Clan and Kool G Rap. Before turning to music, he was a well-respected gourmet chef in New York City. After breaking his leg in 2011, he transitioned to rapping, famously combining his passions for food and music through mixtapes with culinary themes and tracks titled after dishes. His lyrical style is heavily influenced by his New York roots and his experience in the professional kitchen, resulting in unique, passionate hip hop that avoids artificial preservatives.
