Ani DiFranco & Valerie June
An open-air anti-folk night.
Grammy winner Ani DiFranco is a feminist icon and a pioneer of the DIY movement, having founded her own label, Righteous Babe Records, in 1990. With 23 albums to her credit, she explores folk, punk, hip-hop, soul, and electronic music while tackling political and social themes. Her latest album, Unprecedented Sh!t (2024), serves as a poignant commentary on civil rights and reproductive freedom through an alchemy of folk, soul, and jazz-pop. She is joined by Valerie June, a singer-songwriter praised by NPR as an elemental talent. Since her Ford debut in 2023, she has continued to master a sound that blends various roots influences with extraordinary insight.
