The Leimert Park Jazz Festival brings its monthly Sunday Jazz series to The Ford for a special performance honoring the centennial of Miles Davis. Grammy-nominated pianist and former Miles Davis band member John Beasley leads the first half of the program, exploring the legendary trumpeter's musical evolution from the Birth of the Cool era to his electric fusion period. The second half features the Leimert Park Jazz Festival Emerging Artists Collective, showcasing new musical directions in the spirit of Davis’s legacy of experimentation.
