Yvonne Rogers is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and multimedia artist originally from Maine. Described as a fresh voice on the piano, she is a sought-after performer as both a bandleader and side-person in New York and internationally. Rogers is a 2024 Next Jazz Legacy Awardee and has received numerous accolades, including the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award. Her musical style is deeply influenced by the meditative patterns of nature from her coastal Maine upbringing, emphasizing improvisation and creative freedom. In addition to her solo work and leading her own quartet, she performs with various ensembles and released her debut album, Seeds, in 2023. This evening features a performance set followed by a jam session.
