Stéphane Wrembel is widely recognized as one of the most prominent interpreters of Django Reinhardt’s music in North America. Whether following the arrangements of the French master or exploring new artistic directions, Wrembel treats Django's work with the seriousness of a major composer. He is well-known for composing the theme song to Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" and performed at the 2012 Academy Awards. While his style falls under Gypsy Swing, his performances also feature original compositions that draw inspiration from Pink Floyd, Ravel, and Middle Eastern music. Stephane performs at Barbès nearly every Sunday.
