
MISSISSIPPI RIVER BRASS BAND
The Mississippi River Brass Band is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a thirty-member ensemble based on the instrumentation of the traditional British Brass Band, featuring cornets, flugelhorn, euphoniums, baritones, trombones, tubas and percussion. The band consists of some of the finest brass players in the United States, many of whom hold advanced performance degrees. The ensemble tours Europe for goodwill, having previously performed in venues ranging from historic churches in Paris and Berlin to city squares in the Czech Republic. Their repertoire is diverse, spanning sacred, classical, pop, and jazz music. The band is led by conductor and composer Dr. Jack Stamp.
