An underground jazz night.
Max Light is an acclaimed guitarist based in Brooklyn, known for his intricate compositions and improvisational skill. His recent release, “Chaotic Neutral,” received high praise from Downbeat Magazine for its complexity and intriguing style. Light earned second place in the 2019 Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Guitar Competition and has released several albums as a leader, including “Henceforth” and “Herplusme.” A regular collaborator with prominent jazz figures like Noah Preminger and Jason Palmer, Light has performed internationally and remains an active educator in the New York jazz scene. This performance features his quartet, showcasing his evolution as one of the most promising young guitarists in contemporary jazz.
