Founded in 2013 by pianists Sónia Amaral and Patrícia Ventura, the Kla-Vier Duo is a Portuguese piano ensemble focused on 20th and 21st-century repertoire. Their programs feature a diverse range of styles from composers like Ligeti, Kurtág, and Pärt, alongside landmark works by Ravel and Debussy. The duo is dedicated to promoting contemporary music, frequently commissioning and premiering new works by Portuguese composers. Their international performance history spans venues and festivals across Europe and North America.
