That’s the motto of System Revival Records from Lebanon, who are curating their second listening session at Koda. This time: with Mayss & Merino. Mayss is a DJ, curator, producer and writer from Jordan. She is also the founder of Dreaming Live, a label and podcast - dedicated to uncompromised creative expression. Art as the voice of our Innermost as opposed to art as entertainment. Dreaming Live is about being, who we choose to be. From the state of being, to dream. For our dreams, to create. Lastly, against all odds, it is to persist. Guests hosted include David Lynch, Drew McDowall, Lydia Lunch, Martin Rev and Mike Banks. Merino is a producer, dj, curator / promoter based in Medellin Colombia. He has an extensive catalogue of music released on various labels under several aliases. His sound is characterized by unique, mind-drifting synth lines and subtle, loops. He is one of the founders of Move, a techno crew in Medellín that hosts international acts and supports the local scene, as well as Doce record store. In addition to his work as a DJ and producer, Merino has several side projects including W.I.R.E., Zed Kappa, El Outsider, and Reverse Projection.
