GRAIN Presents
An underground, raw avant-garde night.
GRAIN is a concert series and archiving project for experimental and improvised music, programmed and produced by Caius Williams and Theodora Laird. Through programming and documenting new and adventurous music through collaboration, archiving, workshops, and performances, the project explores the ongoing dialogue between the transience of DIY art spaces and the communities that inhabit them. This performance features a duo by bassist/composer Brandon Lopez and Caius Williams, alongside a trio featuring vocalist Theodora Laird, M, and violinist Angharad Davies. Brandon Lopez is a New York-based bassist and composer whose work explores new sonic possibilities on the double bass through improvisation. Caius Williams is a London-based musician working with resonance and perception. Theodora Laird is a multidisciplinary artist and vocalist known for her solo project 'feeo'. Angharad Davies is a Welsh violinist whose approach involves attentive listening and exploring the sonic confines of her instrument.
