Eric Lu
A nostalgic classical piano night.
The young American pianist Eric Lu, winner of the Chopin Competition, performs a programme of Brahms, Schubert, and Chopin. Ten years after his first appearance at the competition, Lu returned to Warsaw in 2025 as the first American to triumph there. Considered by some as the new Radu Lupu, Lu brings a selection of his favourite works, including Schubert’s Four Impromptus, which he describes as the most precious jewels of piano literature. The evening also features Brahms' own transcription of his String Sextet no. 1 and a second half dedicated to the works of Chopin, including the Piano Sonata no. 3.
