Das Konzerthaus Berlin präsentiert ein besonderes Programm mit dem Konzerthausorchester Berlin unter der Leitung von Juraj Valčuha. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Aufführung des Cellokonzerts „Unveiled“ des slowenischen Komponisten Vito Žuraj, ein Auftragswerk des Konzerthauses in Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Partnern. Als Solist tritt der renommierte Cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras auf. Ergänzt wird der Abend durch Robert Schumanns zweite Sinfonie in C-Dur. Schumann komponierte dieses Werk in einer Phase persönlicher Krisen und Depressionen und fand im schöpferischen Prozess die Kraft, seinen Zustand zu bekämpfen. Die Uraufführung fand ursprünglich unter der Leitung von Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy im Leipziger Gewandhaus statt.
