ISSUE Project Room presents a new commissioned work from 2026 Artist-In-Residence Eden Girma. This performance for voice and electronics functions as both a dreamscape and a summoning circle, reconstructing an intimate diasporic familial archive through the perspective of a five-year-old child. Through improvisation, spoken word, song, and digital processing, Girma navigates the complexities of migration, loss, and identity. The work employs mixed media to explore the tensions and resonances within narratives of cultural preservation and belonging. This residency project is a collaboration with Harvestworks’ Technology Immersion Program.
