Agnès Pe & Mr AKA Amazing & Nine Inch Nolan
An underground, raw experimental night.
Barcelona-based composer Agnès Pe presents her practice in computer music and digital synthesis. Her work focuses on sound as material, using sampled media, synthetic textures, and digital processing to develop compositional structures. Using obsolete media, technological errors, and digital artifacts, she transforms material through sound collage and algorithmic manipulation. Duane Warner, performing as Mr AKA Amazing, creates vulnerable lo-fi hip-hop and distorted EDM constructed from phone voice notes. His performance shifts from softly spoken, raw lyrics to a hyped-up surrealist MC mode. For this debut London appearance, he performs as a duo with drummer Dan Johnson. Nine Inch Nolan is the collaborative project of Sam Andreae and Laurie Tompkins. Andreae uses a fractured instrumental language on saxophone to explore colliding sound gestures and aural detritus, while Tompkins writes the music and provides vocals.
