An open-air, homegrown jazz night.
Wynton Marsalis celebrates his final season as Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and Music Director of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. In this special performance, Marsalis reimagines the music of jazz legends like Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Chick Corea, and Wayne Shorter through large-scale big band arrangements. Opening the evening is saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin, who presents a celebration of John Coltrane’s centennial.
