Prolapse
An underground, gritty post punk night.
Prolapse formed in the summer of 1991 under a table at a university disco with the aim of being the most depressing band ever. They earned a cult following for their live performances, particularly for the theatrical tension in songs like 'Tina This Is Matthew Stone'. Following early EPs on Cherry Red Records that earned 'Single of the Week' accolades from Radio 1, the band released their critically acclaimed album Pointless Walks to Dismal Places. The record was hailed as a significant alternative to the era's mainstream Britpop. Since then, the band has continued to release music across various independent labels.
