ECHO “Sada” is a multimedia performance by artist and collector Ossama Helmy, known as Oz Oz. Using a sound archive of old home recordings and spoken fragments, Helmy takes on the role of a DJ to weave personal narratives with archival voice messages from the 1970s. The show explores themes of death and loss by manually manipulating analog audio devices to create effects like echo, reverb, and distortion, followed by an afterparty.
