De band TRAFASSI is in 1981 opgericht door Edgar Bugru Burgos met als doel meer kleur te brengen in de Nederlandse popmuziek. De groep is bekend van de gigantische hit WASMASJIEN (Kleine Wasjes, Grote Wasjes) uit 1984, gevolgd door vele andere successen zoals Banana en Pum Pum Sexy Body. Door hun muzikale diversiteit staat de band op uiteenlopende podia, van Kwaku en Lowlands tot Holland zingt Hazes. Frontman Edgar Burgos is veelvuldig onderscheiden voor zijn muzikale en maatschappelijke bijdragen. Tegenwoordig wordt zijn expertise ook ingezet door een nieuwe generatie artiesten.
