The Woolfs
An underground, nostalgic folk night.
Laura and Rebecca Woolf (the Woolfs) bring together their contemporary musical influences with the traditional folk songs of their father Clive’s archives. With satisfying blood harmonies and a variety of instruments, they seek to broaden the scope of interpretations while keeping tradition firmly in their hearts. Formerly two-thirds of the trio Brazen Thieves, the sisters offer a new perspective on repertoire that spans from well-known classics to esoteric gems. The evening at Sharp's Folk Club also features plenty of time for floorspots, making it one of London's best-known nights for floor singers. Expect traditional songs, tunes, ballads, shanties, and rousing choruses with exceptional folk harmonies. New singers are warmly welcomed; simply add your name to the list at the door.
