In dit theatrale concert brengen musici uit Aleppo samen met New European Ensemble de rijke muzikale tradities van hun stad tot leven. Zij schilderen een nieuw klanklandschap waarin de eeuwenoude stad in beweging komt; uit gebeds- en koffiehuizen klinken eeuwenoude stemmen terwijl auto’s claxonneren en het ruikt naar koffie, peper en kaneel. A Ticket to Aleppo brengt een warmbloedige muzikale dialoog tussen Arabische en Westerse tradities en toont de vitaliteit van de stad. In dit concert komen de vervoering en spiritualiteit uit Aleppo samen met Westerse klankkleur, harmonie en vorm.
