Step Right Up: The Songs of Tom Waits
A nostalgic, gritty blues night.
Step right up and accept our invitation to the blues as Stuart Maxwell, Chris Johnson, Nick Johnson and Alex Davis present an eclectic selection from Tom Waits’ catalogue. The show takes you on a journey from Waits’ folky 70s singer-songwriter origins through tender ballads, twisted blues, black comedy, smoky jazz, graveyard gospel, and Faustian cabaret. This is a celebration of some of the best songs of the past 50 years rather than a traditional tribute show. The performance features two sets with an interval and focuses on the music rather than imitation of Waits' stage persona.
