Formed in Solingen in the late 1960s, the band was a pivotal force in the development of speed metal and a central part of the 1980s German heavy metal scene. After a period of disbandment, the group reunited in 2009 with vocalist Mark Tornillo. Since their return, they have reached new heights, including releasing their highest-charting album, Blood of the Nations.
